About Merran *

Merran grew up with healthy, active living as a way of life. A passionate dancer, she dedicated much of her life to performing and later to teaching the art of dance.
After finishing school, Merran followed her interests in biology and psychology, completing a Bachelor of Health Sciences at Deakin University, majoring in Nutrition and Psychology. With a deep passion for food and health, it was a natural progression to pursue a Master’s degree in Nutrition at Deakin University in 2015.

Over the following years, Merran continued to add strings to her academic bow. While working as a Pilates and dance teacher, she began consulting with clients to support their nutrition goals. During this time, she also completed a Health Coaching certification with the Institute of Integrative Nutrition (IIN, New York) and a second Master’s degree in Secondary Teaching at La Trobe University.

Working as a secondary teacher brought Merran joy and a strong sense of connection with her students. She taught a range of subjects including psychology, health, food studies, sport, and dance.

Today, Merran focuses on coaching and advising one-on-one nutrition clients in her private practice.

Merran specialises in supporting clients with:

  • General nutrition for health and longevity

  • Nutrition to support mental wellbeing (e.g. ADHD and BED)

  • Optimal gut health nutrition
